Wieteke Waterborg was born in Woodland, California in 1982. At the age of five, her family moved to the Kansas City area where she has lived for the past twenty years. In 2006, she graduated from the University of Kansas where she earned her bachelors degree in fine art. Currently she resides in Overland Park, Kansas working as a part-time waitress at a local Applebee's and making art in her spare time.

Just Look

About her work, she says, "I am inspired by the beauty and mystery of our existence. Who are we? Who am I? Life is amazing, and incredible beauty appears if one only looks. In these moments that inspire awe, one becomes aware that life is more than it appears to be."
